What is Database Management Systems(DBMS)

 A Database Management Systems(DBMS) Stores data in such a way that it becomes easier to retrieve manipulate and produce information-It is a collection of programs which enables its users to access database, manipulate data, reporting or representation of data. It also helps to control access to the database. It was first implemented in 1960's Charles Bachman (IDO, Integrated data stored) it said to be a the first DBMS in history.

 MS-access, Oracle-11G,SOL server PostgreSQL, mongo DB, my SQL, SQL ITE, these are the tools of DBMS.

Characteristics of good database:

Here we have 3 most important characteristics of good database as given below:

1. Should be able to store all kinds of data that exist in this real world since we need to work with all kinds of data and Requirement: Database should be strong in to store all kinds of date i.e. present around us.

2. Data and applications should be isolated because database a system which give the platform to store the data and the data is the one which allow the database to work.

3. There should not be  any application of data in the database. Data should not be stored in such a way that it should not be repeated any multiple table. If repeated it should be unnecessary waste of DB(Database) and maintaining such data become a mess.

    All 3 characteristics of database is most important and its help to make database more stronger and and store only qualitative data in database.
